Learn to knit in a fun and supportive environment! We'll start with the basics as we create swatches, preparing you to knit your first scarf or cowl.
What You Will Learn:
In this class, you’ll learn casting on, the knit stitch, the purl stitch, simple stitch combinations, binding off, and weaving in ends for a nice finish. You’ll also be introduced to reading knitting patterns and determining gauge.
When you complete this workshop, you will be able to:
- Cast on and bind off
- Knit and purl
- Follow simple stitch patterns
- Read a knitting pattern
- Create a variety of swatches, sampling basic knitted stitch patterns

Teacher Bio: Leslie has been knitting and crocheting since 2003. She is a big sweater knitter, but she makes all sorts of things. Leslie teaches classes for beginners to advanced. She is also a maker and small business owner of progress keepers/charms, shawl pins, and jewelry.
