Trunk Show - Speckled Finch Studios 8/16/23 - 9/9/23

Nina is a maker & fiber artist and Speckled Finch Studios is her small hand-dyed yarn company. Her home studio is just a stone's throw away from both Ocean Beach and Golden Gate Park in San Francisco. She’s been knitting since 2004 which led the way to experimenting with hand-dyeing and eventually, to the launching of Speckled Finch Studios in 2017. Her yarn is dyed in small batches and her colorways are inspired by a magical mix of the stunning nature found along the Northern California coast, pop culture, and whimsy. 

Every skein is dyed with professional acid dyes and with a lot of love and care! She uses a variety of techniques to get unique colorways. One of the beauties of hand-dyed yarn is that each skein will be slightly unique - some may have more speckles, some a little more concentration of a color. While she does use specially crafted formulas to keep colorways as consistent as possible, no two skeins will be exactly the same. The recommendation is that you alternate skeins every couple of rows when using more than one skein of the same colorway.
