Correcting (and Avoiding) Knitting Mistakes with Kira K
Take the fear and worry out of knitting with this incredibly useful class. You’ll learn how common mistakes are made as well as how to correct them on the following row when possible. We’ll also practice picking up dropped stitches (gulp!) and methods for taking out your knitting stitch-by-stitch and many rows at once. One two-hour session.
Materials:
30 yards smooth, easy-to-see, worsted- or aran-weight yarn; knitting needles in a size appropriate for your yarn; crochet hook in a similar size to knitting needles; darning needle.
Prerequisite Skills:
- This is an intermediate class, and you should already know how to cast on, knit, and purl.

Teacher Bio:
Kira Dulaney has been teaching fiber arts classes and hosting crafty events in the San Francisco Bay Area and beyond since 2002. As a teacher, her focus is on providing valuable information in a stress-free environment and supporting students through the learning process. She is also the designer behind Kira K Designs, a line of original knitting and crochet patterns and kits featuring clean lines and intriguing details that are both interesting to make and easy to wear. Kira has taught at Estes Park Wool Market, Interweave Yarn Fest, Lambtown Festival, the Natural Fiber Fair, Maryland Sheep and Wool Festival, Stitches events, and TNNA, as well as numerous guilds and yarn shops.
PLEASE NOTE:
Minimum Age Requirement: 15 years old.
Minimum to Run Class: 3 attendees.

We require your name, email address, and phone number for all class registrations. This is to ensure that we can contact you regarding essential class communication.
Shop Cancellation Policy: We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule a class due to the minimum number of students not being met, illness, or emergencies. Any refunds will be issued as store credit. In the event of a class rescheduling or cancellation, the communication will be sent via email. Please be sure to check your email prior to class. Providing your phone number in addition to email will ensure that we can reach you in the event of an emergency or short-notice communication. If we do not have a way to get in touch with you and must cancel a class, you forfeit your class fees.
Customer Cancellation Policy: You may cancel your registration in a class within 3 days of the class to receive store credit. If you cancel your registration 3 days or less, you forfeit your class fees.
