Beginning Crochet with Kira K
Crochet is fast and fun, especially with thicker yarn. You’ll learn a few basic stitches while starting to make a cowl (also known as an infinity scarf) that is worked flat and seamed together at the end.

(Please use yarn purchased from Aranea Craft Studio. You will receive a one-time 10% discount on the yarn purchase for this class, provided after registration is complete)
- Mecha Bulky Weight Yarn by Malabrigo (recommended - Zelda, Phoebe, Hannah, Paris Night, Queguay, Arape) - 130-260 yards a light color and smooth, chunky weight yarn (the sample was made with one skein)
- Bamboo / Wood Crochet Hooks by ChiaoGoo - Size K or L crochet hook
- Bent Point Jumbo Tapestry Needles
- Cocoknits Split Ring Stitch Markers - Three removable stitch markers

Teacher Bio: Kira Dulaney has been teaching fiber arts classes and hosting crafty events in the San Francisco Bay Area and beyond since 2002. As a teacher, her focus is on providing valuable information in a stress-free environment and supporting students through the learning process. She is also the designer behind Kira K Designs, a line of original knitting and crochet patterns and kits featuring clean lines and intriguing details that are both interesting to make and easy to wear. Kira has taught at Estes Park Wool Market, Interweave Yarn Fest, Lambtown Festival, the Natural Fiber Fair, Maryland Sheep and Wool Festival, Stitches events, TNNA, and numerous guilds and yarn shops.
For the safety and security of the students and staff, please wear a mask at all times to prevent the spread of germs. We require proof of vaccination at the beginning of the first class. Thank you!

Minimum to Run Class: 3 attendees.

Shop policies:
We require your name, email address, and phone number for all class registrations. This is to ensure that we can contact you regarding essential class communication.
Shop Cancellation Policy: We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule a class due to the minimum number of students not being met, illness, or emergencies. Any refunds will be issued as store credit. In the event of a class rescheduling or cancellation, the communication will be sent via email. Please be sure to check your email prior to class. Providing your phone number in addition to email will ensure that we can reach you in the event of an emergency or short-notice communication. If we do not have a way to get in touch with you and must cancel a class, you forfeit your class fees.
Customer Cancellation Policy: You may cancel your registration in a class within 3 days of the class to receive store credit. If you cancel your registration 3 days or less, you forfeit your class fees.
